Pouakai Zoo

We went on a big bus to Pouakai Zoo. A man drove the bus. When we got off the bus the bus driver left the door open and he backed up. I called out ‘hey, shut the door!’

At the zoo I saw a lion and a bengal tiger. We watched Adam feed the tigers and the lions.

It rained and I got soaking wet and I had fun jumping in the puddles. I splashed mud up Susan’s trousers!

Puddles

I saw some great puddles on the concrete. I ran in the puddles. I went splash with my feet and my shoes got wet. I want to see how much water is in a puddle so I went on a Google search to find out. Another school had posted how they did it so I will try it. I will need a measuring cup with numbers on the side. I might need a bucket to scoop up the water.  I think there will be 2 cups of water in my puddle. It stopped raining so I had to make a puddle. I used a pipet to suck up the water and I put the water into the beaker. I counted how many millilitres of water was in the beaker. There was about 395 millilitres of water in my puddle - nearly two cups!

Rules For My New Pet Cat

1. Eat cat food, not my peanut butter and marmite toast.
2. You must play with me.
3. Curl up on my bed.
4. No climbing up the curtains.
5. Drink cold water out of the bath but not the toilet!
6. No chasing my blue and purple meeting birdon my iPad.
7. No coming to school.

I Went On A Holiday

I went on a bus with mum to Whanganui. I saw some barrier arms on railway crossings.  I stayed at Rachel and Charlotte’s house. We went swimming at the pool. I made a barrier arm with Rachel with wood from Mitre 10 Mega. I needed two pieces of wood for my barrier arm. I needed a piece of wood for the arm and a piece of wood for the post.   Rachel helped me drill into the wood to screw in the barrier arm. We spray painted it red and white. I had fun playing with it with Rachel and Charlotte.
